For Industry and Allied Professionals
There’s something so much more important than selling products to families… and that is the service we can offer families who we are able to care for. One where originality trumps one-size-fits-all solutions, where funerals are as likely to be a celebration of life as they are an observance of death.
To make a success of your business, you need to excel at everything and by joining an association like the Association of Independent Funeral Professionals (AIFP), we can help you understand the lay of the land, welcome you as you stake your claim in this new environment and turn a change into an opportunity.
The Association’s Goal
Our goal is to give support to our members and to educate the community about existing funeral service options and to help all understand the need for pre-planning to help get through a difficult time. Our membership works diligently to preserve the rich heritage of the funeral service profession and the emerging specialities related to end-of- life care and death care in Australia and overseas. This goal is inclusive of all those who operate in allied industries and professions.
If you are an end-of-life, death care or funeral professional working in Australia or anywhere overseas, or if you provide any allied services for these areas, we invite you to become a member. Should you have questions, or need assistance in any way, please connect with us using this form.
The Association of Independent Funeral Professionals (AIFP) aims to be the leading association for those involved in the end-of-life, death, dying and funeral services domains in Australia and across the globe.
The AIFP openly advocates, promotes and enhances development opportunities for all who contribute, work in and provide services in these areas .
Formed in 2015, the AIFP is made up of a group of like-minded individuals who may work in roles, including but not limited to end-of-life consultants, those working in aged care, funeral directors; have funeral related businesses; or offer products and/or services to funeral directors or death care and funeral related businesses.
At the AIFP Annual General Meeting in February 2018, a motion was passed to change the Association's name from the Association of Independent Funeral Directors to the Association of Independent Funeral Professionals to be a more inclusive body and to recognise the role that a myriad of other service providers bring to the end-of-life, death care and funeral services industry.
